Heat Pump Engineer

Location: Leeds

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Job Title: Heat Pump Engineer 
  • Salary: Up to £45,000 basic salary 
  • Job Type: Full-Time 
  • Location: Leeds

About the role:

As a Heat Pump Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering energy-efficient heating solutions to domestic and commercial customers. Working on both new installations and existing systems, you'll play a key role in helping clients reduce their carbon footprint while ensuring every heat pump operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Install air source and ground source heat pump systems 
  • Service, maintain and repair heat pump installations 
  • Diagnose and rectify faults 
  • Commission new heating systems 
  • Carry out routine inspections and performance checks 
  • Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and manufacturer guidelines 
  • Complete service reports and installation documentation


What we’re looking for:

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience installing or maintaining heat pump systems 
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent 
  • Experience with air source and/or ground source heat pumps 
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Relevant renewable energy qualifications are advantageous 
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Key responsibilities include:

  • Install solar PV systems and battery storage solutions 
  • Install and commission EV charging points 
  • Carry out electrical testing, inspection and fault finding 
  • Complete maintenance and repair work on renewable energy systems 
  • Ensure all installations comply with current wiring regulations 
  • Complete job reports and certification accurately 
  • Maintain excellent customer service on every project


What we’re looking for:
